Installation Steps & Notes
Before starting the repair, please unplug the power plug from the wall outlet and make sure that the power to the dryer has been disconnected.
Wear insulated gloves to protect your hands.
You may need to remove the cabinet of the dryer to access and replace the heating element depending on different models.
Check the parts that need to be replaced with the heater assembly. Coil,thermostat, thermal fuse or entire heater assembly.
If you are not sure if the heating wire is good or not, and you need an ohmmeter or multimeter to test the heating element, .A normal heating element should read about 9-10 ohms. A burnt element has very large ohms. Or you can look directly at the heating wire, and if there’s a break, it needs to be replaced.
Watching YouTube videos can make installation easier.
Note: During the installation process, if the nickel-chromium wire of the heating wire is bent, and it may hit the metal shell of the dryer. Please adjust the nickel-chromium wire to ensure that it does not touch the metal shell.
